Bunco Glasses!

I was looking for something cute I could get for my Bunco Girlz for Christmas this year. We were having our annual Christmas party and I wanted these girls to know how much I love them and how much I appreciate them always being there for me. I am glad I know that I can always depend on them for anything. Especially laughs at least once a month! So while i was looking I found some really cute wine glasses that were perfect...except for the price. Now... I love my girls, but $24 a glass seems kinda steep. So I thought to myself... I said "self... You can do this and for a FRACTION of the price". So I stopped at the dollar store and found these amazing glasses for only $1~ I grabbed my handy dandy opaque paint markers that I got at Walmart and personalized each wine glass for my girlz!
I hope they enjoy using them as much as I enjoyed making them!

( I had to make a special mug for Kimmie too!)

Picture Holders

I got these from Hobby lobby on their weekly sale for about $.50.

candlesticks from Hobby Lobby as well

I looked and looked for some craft finials and could not find what I was looking for. Finally I decided to make my own. I found these at Hobby Lobby and with a little wood glue.. they turned out to
be just what I needed.

My hubby brought home some scrap 2 x 8 from work and cut out these bases for me.
They measured 2 x 8 x 9.  We did drill some holes in them and secured them with dowels to sturdy them.
We sanded them and added some spray paint (Walmart's Colorplace brand seems to work for ok and it is pretty cheap...I use the flat kind though because it seems easier to work with while sanding and staining)

With a little tulle bow on the bottom and voila!
It holds a 5x7 picture perfectly
or a little saying.
I used these for Christmas gifts this last year.

Scrapbook Table

I love going finding ugly things at the thrift stores and turning them in to something beautiful. The things I find have such history and maybe some of the history I wouldn't like to know, it is still history.

This was a table that I found at D.I. for only $10. It looked like it needed some love so I picked it up and brought it home. It was so disgusting but with a little sanding....

Some love and affection....

And this is the end result!

I purchased a big piece of plexiglass from Home depot for about $30. I placed family pics on top of the table and covered it with the plexiglass. I wanted a work surface that wouldnt get damaged. It is easy to manage and if it gets a little glue on it... wel it comes right off.

I absolutely love my scrapbook table/desk and the pictures give me motivation.
